Why are there so many English translations of the Bible? Which version should you use?

In this video, I discuss past and present controversies regarding different Bible translations. I’ll address issues such as “Is a translation still the Word of God?” “Do new translations change the Bible?”

Some versions have moved to gender neutral language. Are they caving to cultural pressure and distorting the meaning of Scripture? Or, are they simply trying to make their translation better align with how people speak today?
